So, I am resurrecting this blog. I want to use it for book discussion. I am reading some interesting titles and would love opinions. Just don't give anything away!

How would the story be different if it were set in a different time? How would it be different if it were set in the present, future?

If the story was taken place in the present, Kit would have flown to Connecticut. The Woods wouldn't have to so far to go to the Saturday religous meeting
The story would be different if it was set in a different time because they would not have the same problems as they do now.If the story was set in the future the windows would not cost so mouch. And the houses they live in would be hug.
If the story was in 1985 then that would be funny because The band who made this song was Bowling for Soup then the singer woul have sang about Kit.And ifthe story was in 1985 Kit wouln't have been acused (I think I spelled that wrong) of being a witch.
If it was set in a different time I think they would have different stuff like clothes and they would have better belongings. And if it was in the present they would have different transportation.
It would be diferent if it was in the future because then it would be like how we live or how our perents lived when they were kids! Then in the past it would be a little deferent because not a lot did change in the past to their time!
if it was in the future then people would have to take a test to become a citizen of the united states. people only have to go to church if they want to. in the past people had to go to church and the chruch is called the church of england.
Back then everything would be the same but now everything would be different. People wouldn't be mean to eachother because of their religion now . The people now don't believe that there are witches either. Now women can swim and not be called witches. But in the 1600's if a women could swim she was claimed a witch.
if it was a different time period probably kit woundnt be some rich if it was in the present she probably wouldn't have such nice clothes if it was in the future maybe she she would?
it would be different because pepole would have different clothes there would be more than one religon allowed in a town. pepole wouldn't judge you by your religon.
I think if it was set now there would be no witches and and nat would be a pilot and mercy wouldn't be cripple and prudence would have to meet social workers because her parents didn't bring her to school.
If it was in a diffrent time then mathews family might not be so rude to Hannah. If it was in the future then the story would be totally diffrent. Girls wouldn't have to were dresses or stuff like that.
