So, one week has passed and I think this year is going to be great! You're getting used to how I do things in class and learning about the resources.
This week we mainly did beginning of the year stuff - handed out agenda books, got those civility contracts signed, handed out my syllabus and talked about my expectations. I read Tulip Sees America by Cynthia Rylant and had you write about your summer. I also read What's the Worst that Could Happen? by Bruce Coville and had you write about your most embarrassing moment. Friday, I had you make postcards that we sent home and I did not read them!
Next week we will start doing some English stuff. I will give you your first big-ish written assignment and we will start on some short stories. We will also be getting on think.com in challenge classes and will be checking out the websites when I get the mobile lab.
I hope you guys feel as good as I do about this year! :)
On that note, here is a question for you. What are some of your expectations for this year? What do you hope will happen? What do you hope will not happen?

hi ms smith! my expectations for this year are to have as much fun as possible while still getting good grades. i love 7th grade so far, and i can't wait for the rest of the year. it will be great!

This year I hope I get all A's and 1's.I hope I won't get B's or 2's. I hope I won't get in trouble by any teachers either. I hope I have lots of fun this year.
I hope to get all A's this year. I want to make sure I keep up with my grades and that I don't get behind on homework. I hope that I will also get even better at writing. I want to get better at violin and piano and I think I'm also going to be learning the cello. Hopefully I'll have time to write on my own this year. Getting to soccer on time for every practice is another good goal/expectation for this year.

My expectations are that this class will be fun and with lots of reading. I hope we will have lots of fun. I hope we will not be bored.
For this year I hope to get good grades. A lot of times I tend to talk a lot in class and that gets me in trouble. So I want to fix that. I want to have a good time in class while learning.
Some of my expectations of this year are to get straight A's and have fun.Things that I hope will happen are that I will get straight A's and have tons of fun. something that I hope won't happen are me getting a C or below.
My expectations are that I do really well so I can pass this yer with all A's. also i don't want alot of home work.

I love doing fun projects and reading, and I hope that book reports this year will include lots of drawing! Keepingmy homework organized is rather easy for me, though as a person I'm not perfectso I will forget it once or twice.
